Cricketer Farm hosts local food event

Award-winning Somerset Cheesemaker, Cricketer Farm in Nether Stowey, will be welcoming producers from across Somerset and Devon to its very first local food event this weekend – taking place at its farm shop on Saturday 26^th May from 9am-1pm.  Visitors to the event will be able to feast on free-range chickens and ducks from Summerleaze Poultry, Radfords Fudge, preserves from Rose Farm, sauces from Saffron Kitchen and Aunt Sally's Cakes, and to wash it down, award-winning beer and wine from Cotleigh Brewery and The Lyme Bay Winery.

"This is the first local food event that we have held at Cricketer Farm and we are delighted that so many specialist producers will be coming along.  There will be such an array of food and drink on display for people to try, from award-winning liqueurs and ciders, to jams, pickles and fudge.  Other products, such as locally grown asparagus and rhubarb will be on sale in the farm shop and we hope that people will take the time to stop and browse the new products we have on display, and to enter our raffle," said farm shop Manageress, Sam Roberts.   

Producers that will be attending the event include:  Radfords Fudge, The Lyme Bay Winery, Rose Farm, Cotleigh Brewery, Aunt Sally's Cakes, Saffron Kitchen, Summerleaze Poultry, Somerset Honey, Hecks Cider, Pieminister and many others!
