Cricketer’s Farmhouse Cheddar bags awards at top cheese shows

Characters of individual Farmhouse Cheddars are incredibly varied and Cricketer's Cheddar has a deep creaminess with a rounded and full cheddar bite, but with no harsh after burn. Cheese lovers describe the cheese as having "rounded, clean flavours worthy of its national acclaim".

Simon O'Brien continued: "Cheesemaking is a marriage of intuition and experience. It is not something that can be learnt overnight, but a skill which is mastered over many years. We are proud of our success this year; it reinforces our commitment to producing the very best cheeses."

Cricketer attributes its success to the dedication of its staff and the local milk used to make its cheese. The proximity of the farms, most of which are within 15 miles of the dairy, means that Cricketer can work closely with the farmers, collecting the milk themselves to ensure quality, freshness and traceability right back to the farm.
