Cricketer Farm launches new branded cheeses at Nantwich

9th July 2009

Somerset based Cricketer Farm, one of the Country’s leading innovative cheesemakers, will be launching a new range of branded cheeses at the world-renowned Nantwich International Cheese Show on 28th and 29th July.  The Company, which has been making award-winning cheeses for over 60 years, will be showing its new Cricketer Farm Cheddar, Quantock Gold Cheddar and Reduced Fat and Half Fat cheeses.  Presented in stylish new packs, which have received positive feedback from retailers and consumers who have previewed the designs, this will be the first time that the new cheeses have been on show.

Jo Carter, Sales and Marketing Manager at Cricketer Farm said: “We are really excited to be showing this range of branded cheeses at the Nantwich International Cheese Show and we are looking forward to introducing them to retailers.  We are incredibly proud of our cheesemaking heritage and we have worked hard with our designer to make sure that our new brand will not only convey this history and tradition but that it will also stand out amongst its competitors on shelf.  This is a positive step for Cricketer and recognises the hard work, skill, experience and dedication of our cheesemaking team.”

Each of Cricketer’s cheeses is made to a traditional recipe using full fat, semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, producing a range of Farmhouse Cheddar, half fat and reduced fat cheeses.  Nothing artificial is added to produce its healthier cheeses; the fat is simply taken away from the milk, which is sourced from local farmers.

Cricketer Farm’s new cheeses are available in shelf-ready packaging for ease of display in retail outlets.
